Paper mill in Prochowiec

The Brandenburg paper mill named Pulverkrug existed here from 1539 to 1945. At the beginning, the paper mill was powered by waterwheels, then by steam and finally by electricity. Originally, the paper in the Prochowiec mill was made from rags and supplied mainly to the Brandenburg University in Frankfurt (1506–1811). In 1939, to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the paper mill, a commemorative stone was funded. In 1997, the plaque on the stone was translated into Polish,
