Studzionka is the oldest village (established in 1722, i.e. 45 years before the great amelioration) within the Krzeszyce Wetlands, which were then owned by the Knights Hospitaller. Initially, the village counted 40 souls. Even today, the spatial arrangement of Studzionka gives visitors an idea of the hardship that was settling those bogs. The bell tower of the church in Studzionka still has the original bell funded by the bailiff of the Order of St John, prince Ferdinand.
