According to the fortification plans, the depot was to supply munitions to the nearby artillery batteries of Fortress Kostrzyn. The depot was built in a manner similar to the infantry bunkers, but was larger and had a different interior arrangement. The size of the munitions depots depended on the type of munitions stored in them.
