The protected area covers 18 hectares of meadows purchased by the NGO to introduce active protection of its natural values. It is a grassland of singular beauty, spreading on the steep slopes of the Oder valley, covered with unique, xerophytic grass. The area owes its Mediterranean vegetation to its south-western exposure - in the summer, the slopes heat up to 70°C. The best time to visit the grassland is May and June when the feather grass is in bloom, creating a subtle, rolling tapestry. Start your visit with the Museum of the Meadow in Owczary.
