“Młodno” nature reserve
The nature reserve, covering nearly 100 hectares, was established in 1988 to protect the local fens and transitional bogs, and meadows with the sites of rate plant and animal species. It is likely that a century ago, there was a large, shallow lake in the middle of the peat bog. Notable plant species include march orchis, early-march orchid and marsh helleborine. The nature reserve is a breeding ground for many cranes, snipes and grasshopper warblers, but also sea eagles and black stork. The reserve is also a rutting ground for deer.
