Boruja is an ancient village in the commune of Siedlec in Greater Poland Voivodeship. In the village, you can still see timber cottages with end walls facing the street and the barn located on the field side. The cottages have log frame structure, while the barns, dating back to the first half of the 19th Century, have post-and-plank structure, serving as an example of traditional timber structures typical for Greater Poland countryside. The locals call such cottages “olędry”.
