The construction works on the new parish church began in June 1995. A vicarage was also built. The cornerstone (originating from the foundations of the Poznań Cathedral) was blessed by His Holiness Pope John Paul II on 3 June 1997 during his pilgrimage to Poland, when he stayed in Poznań. The church was funded from the contributions of the parish members. The main altar features a triptych designed and crafter by a Poznań artist Bolesław Musierowicz.
