A round observation tower, serving as a fire lookout, with a battlement crown, is also called the Bismarck Tower. The cornerstone for the tower was laid on 1 April 1902, on the birthday anniversary of Otto von Bismarck. The total cost of construction of the tower was 6 thousand German marks. The tower, which is 20 m high and stands atop the highest hill of Zielona Góra Embankment, i.e. the Wilkanów Hill. It is currently owned by Zielona Góra Forest District and serves as both an observation tower and a fire lookout.
