The current seat of the Museum was opened in April 2004 at the town square, in a historic building previously occupied by a school. The Museum continues the mission of gathering the regional memorabilia, which began before World War II in Przyprostynia, where the first Regional Museum of the Zbąszyń Land was created. The museum has exhibition rooms for archaeology and history, folklore, local crafts and ethnography, and also organises temporary exhibitions, and supports the local artists and collectors.
