The Postomia is a beautiful small river flowing from the heights of the Łagów Lake District towards the Warta river valley. However, for a kayak trip, you should choose the section of the river which flows through the bottom of the Warta valley. The most interesting section of the Postomia can be found between Lemierzyce and “Słońsk” pumping station. There, the Postomia is winding along a steep slope of the Warta valley for 5 km, through the Dolina Postomii nature reserve which protects the local venerable tree stands. Leaving the nature reserve, the Postomia then flows in a straight, man-made channel for around 4 km. In Przyborów, the Postomia flows into a branch of the old delta of the Warta. From there, turn right and follow its broad waters to the historic “Słońsk” pumping station. The route is easy and without any significant obstacles.
