The Renaissance palace was built in the 17th Century. In the palace, on 22 October 1858, the last Queen of Prussia and the last Empress of Germany was born - Augusta Victoria of Schleswig-Holstein, wife of Emperor Wilhelm II (died on 11 April 1921 in Doorn, the Netherlands). After 1945, the palace was managed by the local State Agricultural Farm, and was used for residential and office purposes until the 1990s when it was taken over by the State Agricultural Property Agency. It is currently unused.
