Uncovered in 1966, the Monument of Struggles and Martyrdom is dedicated to the troops and civilians who died in the Greater Poland Uprising and in World War II. On the front of the monument, you can see a relief sculpture of an eagle and an inscription: “They fought, suffered and died for their country, their freedom and their people”. On the sides of the monument, three dates are inscribed: 1918, 1939 and 1945. The monument was designed by Leszek Krzyżkowiak.
