The origins of the castle are unclear, with the first mention of appearing as late as 1588 when it was purchased by the Kotwicz family. The castle then changed hands several times and also underwent a number of reconstructions, gradually losing its original style. Its current style is a combination of Gothic and Renaissance elements. To the west, there is a park palace with valuable tree stands. The palace currently serves as the local welfare centre and is not open to visitors.
