Lake Trześniowskie (Ciecz)

This tunnel-valley lake is the deepest reservoir of the Middle Oder region, reaching up to 58.8 m. The average depth of the lake is 19.3 m and its area is 187.5 hectares. Lake Trześniowskie, which has class I water purity, is located within the Łagów Landscape Park and surrounded by woods, mainly beech forests. In the past it used to be connected to Lake Łagowskie, but the two lakes were artificially separated by the Knights Hospitaller several hundred years ago. The lake is home to plenty of fish species, including lake trout, European white-fish, catfish, pike perch, pike, carp or eel. There are water equipment rental shops at the lake.
