St Joseph Church
The parish of St Joseph in Dobiegniewo belongs to the Deanery of Strzelce Krajeńskie. The church was built in 1934 on a tau cross plan in the western part of town as a contemporary building, without any stylistic features. The winged altarpiece, originating from the 16th and the first half of the 17th Century, and moved to the church from the ruined temple in Ostrowite, is the most valuable element of the church furnishings. In the centre of the altarpiece, against the backdrop of a starry sky, there is a wooden, polychromed statue of the Holy Mother Queen of Heavens with Child. Next to the altar, you can see an openwork Art Nouveau lamp from the turn of the 19th and 20th Century. The church was consecrated in 1941.
