The parish church of St Anna in Szczaniec belongs to the Deanery of Świebodzin. Built at the beginning of the 16th Century as a Protestant temple, the church underwent numerous reconstructions. After a fire in the first half of the 19th Century, it was rebuilt in Gothic Revival style as a single-nave church with a slender steeple crowned by a tent roof. Inside the church, you can see the preserved stained-glass windows, frescos and wall sculptures, as well as a two-storey organ gallery and the Gothic network vault. After the end of World War II, the church was taken over by the Roman Catholics. Since 1976, the church is under the pastoral care of the Society of St Francis de Sales.
