Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church
The parish of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Opalewo belongs to the Deanery of Świebodzin. The first wooden church was built there already in the Middle Ages, followed by another wooden temple in the second half of the 17th Century. The current Gothic Revival brick temple was built in the second half of the 19th Century. A square steeple with a conical spire rises from the roof ridge. Inside, you can see a number of historic items, such as the Baroque painting of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary from the second half of the 18th Century, the Gothic Revival portal above the entrance to the sacristy, the Gothic Revival brick window openings from mid-19th Century, and a Mass book from 1930.
