Lake Zgniły Grzyb

Small streams flow into Lake Zgniły Grzyb from its sloped shores. Another, larger stream flows from the lake which, together with the stream from Lake Glinna Wielka, becomes the Krzekna river. Near the outflow from the lake, on its southern shore, there are two early Medieval fortified settlements. One of the settlements is located directly at the lake and shaped like a horseshoe, with the defensive mound encompassing it from three sides, the fourth being protected by the lake itself. To see the second, go 100 metres down south. It is shaped like a cone, with the remains of a settlement beyond the walls to the west. The settlement could have been the seat of the wealthy family of Świętoborzyce. There are many legends about Lake Zgniły Grzyb.
