Duke Bogislaw X united the duchies of Pomerania-Stettin, Pomerania-Stolp, Pomerania-Wologast and the Principality of Rügen into the sovereign Duchy of Pomerania with its capital city in Stettin and the Ducal Castle of Stettin as the Duke’s seat. His tireless efforts to secure the political and economic growth of his Duchy was recognised by his subordinates who dubbed him Bogislaw the Great. One of the streets in Kołbacz is named after the Duke.
