The filial church of Jesus Christ the King of the Universe in Borowo is a part of the parish of Nativity of Mary in Wilkowo. The church belongs to the Deanery of Świebodzin. It was built in the second half of the 19th Century as a brick Gothic Revival temple on the site of an older wooden church. 30 years later a wooden bell tower was added with a Gothic Revival bell that has survived to this day. Other original church elements include the main altar, the pulpit and the font with an openwork cover. In 1936, the church was consecrated as a Roman Catholic temple. After World War II, it was a filial church of the parish in Ołobok. In 2006, it was subordinated to the parish in Wilkowo.
