Built at the beginning of the 16th Century by the Cistercian nuns of Trzebnia, the Gothic Revival brick church was originally designed as a chancel of a larger temple which was never completed. At the end of the 18th Century, the mansard roof underwent reconstruction, and a wooden steeple was added in the 19th Century. The church remained in use until the end of World War II. In 2014, the church, which by then had turned into a ruin, was secured against collapse.
