St Anna Church
The parish church of St Anna in Jordanowo belongs to the Deanery of Świebodzin. Built in the first half of the 16th Century by the Cistercian monks of Paradyż, it was consecrated in 1629. In the 17th Century, a masonry nave and a wooden steeple were added.
At the end of the 19th Century, the temple was made a parish church and expanded, giving the building the shape of a cross with two side chapels. The older part of the church is Late Gothic and the new one is Gothic Revival. The interior decorations are Baroque. The church has three altars, all consecrated in 1629: the main altar depicting St Anna under a canopy, the altar of the Heart of Jesus depicting the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, and the altar of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary with a painting of the Holy Mother. The church is surrounded by a wall with an 18th Century gate. In 1949, a statue of the Holy Mother was placed atop the gate.
