Dobrzany is a small town at the Pęzinka river, inhabited by around 2,500 people. Although it was granted the town charter before 1336, Dobrzany never had traditional defensive walls. This land has been settled for thousands of years, as evidenced by the findings from the distant past, such as the Medieval fortified settlement 2 km west of Dobrzany, and traces of settlements on Długa Szyja peninsula. In the town, you can see the St Michael Archangel church, built in the years 1782–84, as well as 18th and 19th Century half-timbered houses. Dobrzany also has a historic town hall.
