Built at the end of the 18th century, the warehouse was to be an important stop on the trading route, storing the salt produced by the old salt factory which operated there until the end of the 19th century. The salt was traded on the intersection in front of the building. In the 20th century, the warehouse was used by various companies. It is empty today but efforts are being taken to restore it to its former glory.
