Corona Schröter was a German singer and actress from Gubin who rose to fame through her performances in the Weimar court theatre, where she found employment with the support of Johann Wolfgang Goethe. Born on 14 January 1751 in Guben (today: Gubin), Corona Schröter died on 23 August 1802 in Illmenau. She is commemorated in her hometown by a boulder monument, placed on the site of her home.
