Synagogue

Address ul. Dąbrowskiego, 66-620 Gubin
The synagogue, which no longer exist, was built in 1878. It was plundered during the infamous Kristallnacht of 9 November 1938, and most probably destroyed during the battle of the town, which lasted from February to April 1945. After the war, the building was demolished. In 1998, on the 60th anniversary of Kristallnacht, a commemorative boulder with a Star of David was uncovered on the site of the synagogue. Ten years later, a board in three languages was installed next to the boulder, telling the fate of the Guben Jews.
