The village of Grzędzice was founded at the beginning of 13th century in the territory of drumlin fields. Drumlins are ridges formed, embossed or imprinted during the ice displacement. They are elongated, low loaf-shaped forms of 1 km. Grzędzice is a circular village - a rundling - built around the pond located in the centre.
