The first mentions of the church in Przyczyna Górna date back to 1354. Between 1578 and 1642, the church was a Protestant temple. The church underwent a number of renovations (at the end of the 16th century, in the second half of the 17th century and at the end of the 19th century), as evidenced by the inscriptions in the plaster in the southern section of the temple. The church walls were last renovated in the 1960s, and the roof in 2009.
