The first mentions of Kozielice are dated 1281, when Duke Bogusław IV offered a half of the village of Koselitz to Bishop of Kamień, Herman. The church in Kozielice was erected in the 14th century. In the next century its eastern part was built, and in 1594 a tower was added on the western side. In 1669 the church was thoroughly renovated. Then in 1706 a choir was added. In 1912-13 an addition was built on the southern side and the church was repainted. On 14 July 1946 the church was consecrated again. The parish registers have existed since 1971. in 1973 another thorough renovation took place. In 2012 the bell tower was opened. In 2013 the roof of the church was replaced. In 2017 the works on the new wall surrounding the church were finished.
