Spreading on over 155 hectares, of which 58 hectares are under strict protection, the nature reserve is named after Jerzy Jackowski, a distinguished forester and nature conservationist. “Źródliskowa Buczyna” covers diverse terrain, from a plateau with steep slopes to a flatland at Lake Glinna. The vertical difference is 50 m. The nature reserve was created to protect a magnificent headwater beech forest with numerous keyflowers in the undergrowth. There is a blue sightseeing trail through the nature reserve, named after Stanisław Groński, and a 4 km discovery path with 12 educational boards.
