Bifurcation means forking of a river where each fork flows into a different catchment. In Strachocin, after the bifurcation the Krąpiel river continues for another 2 km to the Ina river, but 100 m to the west of the bridge forks into the Młynówka which also flows into the Ina, but 4 km further down the latter, in Stargard. To the east of the same bridge there is another fork of the Krąpiel which flows back into the main river channel after only 400 metres. Opposite to the mouth of the Krąpiel to the Ina, you can see the mouth of the Mała Ina (300 m upriver), and a little below that, the mouth of Rzepliński Channel. All of this creates and intriguing river network and an interesting ecosystem.
