The railway which cuts through Pęzino was built in stages, with the final section from Ulikowo to Ognica opened in 1895. At the time, the total distance of the railway between Ulikowo and Piła was 125 km. After World War II, the railway was used for local traffic only. The last scheduled train, running from Stargard Szczeciński to Piła, called at the station in 2000. However, after several years the demand for the railway among the local community turned out to be high enough to restore traffic on the line between Ulikowo to Piła in 2012, including the stop in Pęzino.
