It is interesting that in a predominantly Protestant country, the church in Giżyno was built in 1936 by the local Roman Catholic community. The church was built with brick and plastered, and the flat roof was covered with zinc-plated sheet metal. The stained-glass windows depict the seven rites, while gallery has a stained-glass window showing St Cecilia.
