The Classicism Revival temple was built with stone and brick in the years 1725–1726. In 1876, it was remodelled, adding a steeple and a transept. Inside the church, you can see interesting tombstones, among them the 16th Century tombs of the Hospitaller commander von Schleiben and his son. Andreas von Schleiben was the first Knight Hospitaller ever to marry. According to the local legend, he is still atoning for that within the walls of the Łagów castle. The church was a Protestant temple until 1945 when it was converted into a Roman Catholic church. The galleries inside clearly indicate the Protestant origins of the building.
