Water tower from the first half of the 20th Century

Address Poznańska, 66-440 Skwierzyna
In the years 1929–30, the water supply and sewage network was built in the town. One of the characteristic elements of the town water network is the hexagonal water tower, built with red brick and providing the correct pressure in the water supply network. Damaged in the fights in 1945, the water tower was not recommissioned until 1979. The water tower was renovated and put back in use due to the low pressure in the town water supply network. During the renovation works, the artillery bullet holes on the tower walls were carefully preserved. Today, the water tower is one of the symbols of the town.
